This sweet little boy just turned ONE! Julie and her sweet family contacted me for Ty’s first year cake smash after we had so much fun last fall during their family Christmas mini’s session. I’m so thankful for repeat clients! Makes me really feel like I’m doing my job right!! Thanks Julie!
When Julie and I started planning Ty’s cake smash she mentioned having an outdoor session, and I knew just the place to go. One of my favorite places to shoot here in Bay City, Texas is our fabulous birding and nature center. The landscaping is always the perfect blend of natural setting yet manicured at the same time. I love this open space of hardscape that takes you to the field of bluebonnets then leads back to the rest of the center. After all, we’re in Texas you gotta have bluebonnets! 😉
She sent me a few pins from Pinterest to show me her vision for her session, then I took it from there. I had so much fun painting these letters to spell one and ordering Ty’s blue ombre cake. One thing I didn’t account for was the paint not drying in time for the shoot, so we had a few nicks and scratches that showed through. That just meant I had to brush up on my photoshop skills ha!
Happy birthday, Ty!! <3
